These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you and Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd. for the use of this website and for the counter services delivered from our Tampines condo studio. They cover skincare set bays, treatment booking runs, member order desks, consultation windows, ritual box reviews and season launch sittings. Please read them before you book a visit or place an order.
We have written these terms in plain language, without unnecessary formality, because a client should be able to understand the agreement without a lawyer beside them. If anything is unclear, write to order@juolifestyle.autos or call +13203089109 and we will explain it.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By visiting this website, sending us a message, booking a consultation window, attending a treatment run or placing a member order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the website and do not book a service. Your agreement applies each time you use the counter, and it remains in force for any matter that arose while it applied.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. Where the two documents touch the same subject, the Privacy Policy governs how information is handled and these terms govern the commercial relationship. Both documents are available from every page of the website.
Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot be excluded under the law of Singapore. If a provision of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest of the terms will continue to apply as if the invalid provision had been removed.
2. Who We Are
The counter is operated by Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore with its studio at 13 Tampines Lane, #08-52 Treasure at Tampines, 528479, Singapore (SG). We work in computer systems design and related professional services and operate a small beauty counter from the same studio. In these terms, we, us and our refer to Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd., and you and your refer to the person using the website or the counter.
Our counter is deliberately small. We serve a limited number of clients each day and we do not operate a second location. This means that a booking is a commitment on both sides: a held slot is a slot we cannot offer to someone else, and a client who travels to the studio deserves the full attention of the person at the table.
3. Eligibility and Studio Access
You must be at least eighteen years old to book a service or place an order in your own name. A person under eighteen may attend with a parent or guardian, and the parent or guardian must be the person who provides contact details and accepts these terms. We do not knowingly enter into a booking or an order with a child acting alone.
The studio is inside a private condominium. Every visit requires a confirmed booking, and we will send you the exact floor, door and access details by email or message before you travel. Please arrive at the agreed time. If you arrive early we may not be able to open the door until the previous booking finishes, and if you arrive late the booking may be shortened so that the next client is not delayed.
Please keep the studio quiet and respect the building. We cannot host additional guests who are not part of the booking, and we cannot allow a visitor to wait in the lobby or on the corridor. If a booking requires a companion for support, tell us in advance and we will arrange the space.
4. The Services We Provide
Our counter offers six linked services. A consultation window is a forty five minute session at the mirror with a written profile. A skincare set bay is a session in which a set is assembled and tested against that profile. A treatment booking run is a timed treatment sequence in the studio. A member order desk is a session to reconcile and place a refill or an adjusted order. A ritual box review is the quality check we perform before a box is sealed. A season launch sitting is the internal testing and member preview held before a new range is listed.
We describe these services on the Services page and in the confirmation we send for each booking. We may refine the description of a service over time as long as the refinement does not remove something you have already paid for. If we make a substantive change to a booked service we will tell you before the booking and offer you the choice of a reschedule or a refund.
Our services are cosmetic and advisory. They are not medical treatment, they are not a diagnosis and they do not replace the advice of a doctor or a dermatologist. If you have a medical skin condition, or if a skin problem is causing you distress, please see a qualified medical practitioner as well as, or instead of, visiting the counter.
5. Bookings and Consultation Windows
A booking is made when we confirm a time in writing, usually by email to the address you give us. A request alone is not a booking. We confirm the service, the date, the time and the person who will be at the table, and we ask you to reply to confirm that the details are correct.
Consultation windows are the recommended first step. We hold a window at no charge for the first meeting, and we ask that you give us at least twenty four hours of notice if you need to move it. Because windows are limited, a client who misses three confirmed windows without notice may be asked to settle a booking deposit before a further window is offered.
We may contact you shortly before a booking to confirm that you are still attending. If we cannot reach you after two attempts and you do not arrive within fifteen minutes of the agreed time, the booking may be released so that another client can use the slot.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
You may cancel or move a booking once at no cost if you tell us at least twenty four hours before the agreed time. Inside that window, and where a booking includes a treatment, we may retain a booking fee that covers the preparation already done. The amount of the fee, if any, is stated in the confirmation message before you confirm.
If we cancel a booking we will tell you as soon as we can and will offer a new time that suits you or a full refund of anything you have paid for that booking. We will not charge a cancellation fee when we are the party who cancels.
A no show is treated as a cancellation inside the notice window. We understand that emergencies happen, and we will waive a fee once in such a case if you let us know what happened. We are far more interested in keeping a good relationship than in charging a fee.
7. Member Orders and Payment
A member order is an order to supply products that form part of a routine. Orders are placed at the desk, by email to order@juolifestyle.autos or by telephone on +13203089109. An order is accepted when we send a written summary confirming the items, the price and the expected delivery or collection date. Until that summary is sent, an order is only a request.
Prices are shown in Singapore dollars unless another currency is stated in the summary. Payment must be made before a box is released unless we have agreed a different arrangement in writing. We accept the payment methods shown at the desk and in the summary; we do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
We may refuse or cancel an order if the product is unavailable, if a price was displayed in error, if we suspect fraud, or if fulfilling the order would breach a law or the terms of a supplier. If we cancel an order after payment we will refund the amount paid in full.
8. Delivery and Collection
You may collect an order from the studio during a booked slot or ask us to deliver it. A delivery address must be accurate and complete. We are not responsible for a delay caused by an incomplete address or by a recipient who is not available to receive the parcel.
Where a parcel is returned to us because it could not be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a second attempt or a refund less the delivery cost already incurred. Risk in the products passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the address you gave us or when you collect it from the studio.
We pack every order by hand and we review every ritual box before it is sealed. If a parcel arrives damaged, tell us within forty eight hours and keep the packaging so that we can raise the matter with the delivery partner.
9. Returns, Refunds and Faulty Products
For hygiene reasons we cannot accept a return of a skincare product that has been opened and used, unless the product is faulty or does not match the order. If a product is faulty, or if you received the wrong item, tell us within seven days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it. Please keep the product and the packaging until we have resolved the matter.
If an unopened product is unwanted, you may return it within fourteen days of delivery in its original sealed condition for a refund of the product price. The cost of returning the product is yours unless the return is caused by our error. A ritual box that has been opened and used cannot be returned as unwanted, but we will always talk through a problem with a box and find a fair solution.
Refunds are made to the original payment method within fourteen days of an accepted return. We will confirm the refund in writing so that you have a record.
10. Adverse Reactions and Skin Safety
Skincare can provoke a reaction even when a product is used correctly. If you experience redness, swelling, itching or discomfort, stop using the product and contact us the same day. We will record the reaction, review the set with you and, where appropriate, adjust the routine or arrange a return of the affected item. If the reaction is severe or spreads, seek medical attention first and tell us afterwards.
You are responsible for telling us about known allergies, sensitivities, medication and any medical condition that may affect your skin. We rely on that information when we build a set. Hiding a known sensitivity does not make the set safe, and we cannot accept responsibility for a reaction that a disclosed sensitivity would have prevented.
We patch test where a product or an ingredient warrants it, and we advise a short trial period before a new product is used across the whole face. Please follow the trial instruction in the note that accompanies a set.
11. Pricing and Availability
Prices for services and products are those shown at the time of booking or order. We may change a price for a future booking or a future order, but a price confirmed in writing for an existing booking or order will not change unless you agree.
Stock is limited because our shelf is short and our bays are curated. If a product in an order becomes unavailable we will offer a comparable alternative or a refund for that item. We will not substitute a product without telling you first and getting your agreement.
Any promotion is offered on the terms stated with it and for the period stated with it. We may withdraw a promotion at any time, but a promotion already applied to a confirmed order will be honoured.
12. Acceptable Use of the Website
You may use this website to read about the counter, to contact us and to prepare for a booking or an order. You must not use the website in a way that harms it or harms another person. In particular, you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, send a virus or malicious code, scrape the content at scale, use the contact form to send spam, or impersonate another person.
You must not use information from this website to send unsolicited marketing to the counter or to its clients, and you must not frame or mirror the website in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.
We may suspend access to the website for anyone who breaches this section. Because the website is a simple information site, a suspension is unlikely to affect a booked service, which will be handled by email or telephone as usual.
13. Intellectual Property
The text, layout, styling and coded design of this website belong to Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd. or are used with permission. You may read the website, print a page for your own reference and share a link, but you may not copy substantial parts of the content into another website, sell it or present it as your own without our written permission.
The name Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd., the studio name and any counter mark used on this website are our identifiers. Nothing on this website grants you a licence to use them except to refer accurately to the counter in a normal, truthful way.
Product names and brand names that appear on the website belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply an endorsement of this website by the owner beyond the ordinary supply relationship.
14. Content You Send to Us
When you send a message, a review or a photograph to the counter you confirm that you have the right to send it and that it does not infringe the rights of another person. You keep ownership of what you send. You grant us permission to use it for the purpose for which you sent it, for example to reply to a question, to record a reaction or to pack a box correctly.
We will not publish your message or photograph on the website or on a social channel without your clear permission. If you give permission and later change your mind, tell us and we will remove the content within a reasonable time, except where a record must be kept for a legal reason.
Please do not send us another person medical or skin information without that person consent. If you are writing on behalf of a family member, confirm that they know you are doing so.
15. Third Party Products and Links
Some products on our tray are made by other companies. We choose them carefully through our season launch sittings, but we do not manufacture them and we cannot control how they are made. A product is supplied with the manufacturer warranty or guarantee that applies to it, and nothing in these terms replaces that warranty.
This website may link to a third party page. A link is provided for convenience and does not mean that we control or endorse everything on the page. If you enter into a contract with a third party you do so directly with that party, and that party terms will apply to the transaction.
16. Privacy and Personal Information
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. In summary, we collect only what a small counter needs, we use it to deliver the service you request, and we do not sell it. Skin notes are treated as sensitive and are kept away from suppliers and advertisers.
You are responsible for keeping your contact details accurate so that we can reach you about a booking or an order. If your details change, tell us and we will update the record.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms. If you have a question about how information is used, please read that policy first and write to order@juolifestyle.autos if anything remains unclear.
17. Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided as they are. We work hard to keep the content accurate and the site available, but we do not promise that the site will be free of error or that it will always be reachable. A page may be updated, and a product described on it may become unavailable.
Advice given at the counter is based on the information you provide and on our observation of the skin at the mirror. It is given in good faith and for a cosmetic purpose. It is not a medical opinion. We do not promise a particular result, because skin responds differently to the same routine and no honest counter can guarantee an outcome.
Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee or a right that the law does not allow us to exclude, including a right relating to a product that is not of acceptable quality.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for a loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made, for a loss caused by your failure to follow a written instruction or a patch test note, or for a loss caused by a third party whose service we do not control.
Where we are liable for a service, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Where we are liable for a product, our liability is limited to the price of the product. These limits do not apply to a liability that the law says cannot be limited, such as a liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
We are not liable for a reaction that a disclosed allergy or sensitivity would have prevented, or for a result that depends on how consistently a routine is followed at home. We will always work with you to resolve a problem in good faith before the question of liability arises.
19. Indemnity
If a claim is brought against us because you breached these terms, misused the website or sent us content that infringed the rights of another person, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of defending that claim. This obligation applies only to the extent that the claim results from your own conduct and not from anything we did.
This section does not require you to indemnify us for a claim that arises from our own negligence or from a product or service we supplied in breach of these terms.
20. Events Beyond Our Control
We are not in breach of these terms if we cannot perform an obligation because of an event beyond our reasonable control. Examples include a building closure, a utility failure, a severe weather event, a public health restriction, a transport disruption or a failure of a payment or delivery provider.
If such an event affects a booking or an order, we will contact you as soon as we can, offer a new time or a refund where appropriate, and keep you informed until the matter is resolved. We will not use this section to avoid an obligation that we could reasonably have met.
21. Suspension and Termination
We may decline to serve, or may end the relationship with, a person who is abusive to the counter team, who repeatedly fails to attend bookings, who misuses the website or who asks us to act against the law. We will tell the person the reason in writing unless doing so would put someone at risk.
You may end the relationship at any time by asking us to close your record and, subject to any legal retention obligation, delete your personal information. Closing a record does not cancel an order already accepted or a booking already due; those will be completed or cancelled on the terms set out above.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as those on intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law, will continue to apply.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the way we work changes or when the law requires it. The current version is always the one published on this website, with the effective date shown at the top of the page. A change applies to a booking or an order made after the change takes effect.
If a change is significant, such as a change to cancellation terms or to how a refund is handled, we will tell active members by email before the change takes effect so that they can decide whether to continue. A client who does not agree with a change may cancel a future booking under the normal cancellation rules.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore. If a dispute arises, we ask you to contact us first at order@juolifestyle.autos so that we can try to resolve it directly. Most questions can be settled in a short conversation, and we will always begin with that attempt.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it will be subject to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent relief from a court where that is necessary, or from raising a matter with a consumer protection body that has authority over the relationship.
24. How to Contact Us
If you have a question about these terms, a booking, an order or a return, the counter is easy to reach. Please include your name, the email address you used and a short description of the matter so that we can find the right record.
